DuoShare Address Quality Integrator (DAQI) Roadmap
DuoShare Address Quality Integator (DAQI) has two main concrete types of integration available.
Distributed Batch Validation, for running common operations on an entire list at once, and Interactive, for verifying addresses
interactively with the user. See the DAQI Abstract
Design Document for higher level integration possibilities.
HTTP Distributed Batch Validation
This is the basic outline for a batch integration. See References.
- Upload list using predefined mapping (Roadmap steps 1 - 2.3)
- User logs on to DuoShare web site to fix bad addresses (Roadmap step 3). Optional.
- Run Mail Prepreation jobs (Roadmap steps 4 - 9). Optional.
- Export list (Roadmap step 10)
- Download list (Roadmap step 11)
Interactive Integration
This is the basic outline for an interative intergration's process. See References.
- Create list via web services (Roadmap step 1)
- Send user input via SOAP over HTTPS
- Receive SOAP response and show hint data to user
Roadmap
You can click on any of the steps in the image below to see the full description.
If you are creating a new address list, begin at step 1 Create List
If your list has already been created, begin at step 2.1 Start New Epoch
2. Validate Full
Validate Full is automatically queued when your list is created using HTTP Distributed Batch Validation.
If you run a full validation, any addresses you have corrected in Fix Bad Addresses will be lost, you should run an Epoch if you want to keep your changes. [back to roadmap]
2.1 Start New EpochEpoch copies an address' answers into the address' input fields, this allows incremental validations to only validate 'bad' addresses. This should be done prior to running a Merge Current.
This can be run using Distributed Batch Validation.

2.2 Merge Current List
Merge Current merges new/changed addresses into an existing list. It will match addresses by comparing the foreignid of the addresses your are importing to the foreignid of an existing address. Only addresses that have changed will be imported. There is also the option to delete addresses that existing in the DuoShare list but not in your file.
This can be run using Distributed Batch Validation

2.3 Validate Incremental
Validate Incremental is automatically queued after a Merge Current using Batch Integration.
